We’re baaaack! 

Formerly known as The Hospice Times, Hospice Heroes News is a revived effort to honor those true angels who perform the awesome role of helping the dying pass with dignity and in peace.

With the input of a former hospice administrator, we originally set out, in February of 2010, to make Hospice Times the primary source of news items concerning (or mentioning) staff and management of hospice providers around the globe, but primarily in North America.

I invite any hospice administrator or staff member to share any good news, accomplishments, victories, and awards they have to share here on the site.  We are happy to offer this forum for that purpose.

The news posts here are gathered from around the Internet automatically. And as we are unable to devote the time that would be required to screen out the occasional unfortunate bad news about a hospice worker, we apologize in advance for sharing that kind of news along with all the good.  But, I guess, it can be helpful to be aware of the mistakes of others.

We gratefully acknowledge the contribution of our original sponsor HospiceSoft and it’s founder Rex Hale, without whose support we could not have launched the original site. Now that that company has been purchased by Optima Healthcare Solutions, which has chosen not to continue the effort, I have decided to revive the site as a way to give back to an industry that truly blessed both of my parents in their turn.
